I’m tired of hearing rants like this one and others from people that take no responsibility at all. I ran across this rant today, which sounds reasonable if you’re a complete asshole.
The following is a rebuttal to this rant filled with misconceptions and selfishness.

I have made my reputation, the good and the bad, I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I have worked hard to get where I am in life. I have juggled my job, my family, and made many sacrifices up front to secure a life for me. Nothing came free, I paid for it all.”

National defense, transportation infrastructure, education, law enforcement, social security, and a multitude of other useful things.
This statement is an abject lie that has been repeated continuously by Trump supporters and one of the primary reasons Trump squeaked by in the 2016 election. Many other people have paid for the life you live; you did not buy your way of life; a chance to make the most of life is a gift society gave you.
“It wasn’t always easy and still isn’t, but I did it all while maintaining my integrity and my principles. I’ve never put anyone beneath myself or denied help to anyone. I have friends of every walk of life and if you’re in my circle, it should be understood that I don’t have to remind you of what I’d be willing to do for you. However…. I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. People who have sacrificed nothing and feel entitled to receive everything.”

Old man, you and people in your age bracket are the recipients of nine-tenths of entitlement benefits. It’s preachy trash like this that boils my blood, it’s a lie, and the largest group of people feeling entitled these days are Trump supporters.
Trump supporters believe they are entitled to laugh as people die around them from COVID while supporting a President that intentionally lied to them and everyone else about the severity of the virus. By the end of the year, close to half a million people will likely die from COVID in the United States alone.
In March, Trump told Woodward: “I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.”

Trump didn’t downplay anything; he lied to the American people. It’s an irrefutable fact that Trump admits is true. Lying about the severity of the virus, effectively forcing schools to open, and not setting an example by wearing a mask are all feeding into the number of deaths.
My uncle died on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020. In all likelihood, he would not have died if Trump hadn’t lied and left the coronavirus pandemic to the states. That’s a fact, put that in your pipe and smoke it, old man!

So, you’re tired of paying for taxes. I get it, paying for taxes is a drag; it sometimes feels like someone is taking money directly from your pocket. Most people don’t like paying taxes, but anyone with a brain knows that taxes contribute to a healthy society. In the best years for the middle-class, taxes were high, and life was good for the majority.
We are living in an Oligarchy right now. If you haven’t noticed 1% of the population owns 40% of the nation’s wealth. Does this sound fair to you?

Trump has consistently unloaded the garbage floating in his mind on the American public before he was President up until today.
The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.

I’m tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talk like their opinions matter to the common man. I’m tired of any of them even pretending they can relate to the life and bank account that I have.

I’m tired of that too, but your opinion isn’t any better than anyone else’s. Here’s an idea, try avoiding other people’s opinions and start grounding your life in facts. Here’s the same fact repeated to drive the point home.

Here’s an idea, don’t be a racist and people won’t label you as a racist. If you’re being labeled as a racist you’re probably a racist and haven’t bothered to reflect.

I’m tired of being told I need to accept the latest fad or politically correct stupidity or befriending a group that’s intent in killing me because I won’t convert to their point of view.

People have opinions, they’re like assholes, and everyone has one. Get over it. Trump supporters, like you, want everyone to believe Trump is a great guy and cares about the people. He doesn’t; he loosely cares about himself given the state of his health.

Who are these people exactly? Is it the ominous _other, THE BOOGEYMAN, that’s coming for your job, your wealth, and your life?
Let me tell you a secret, the only boogeyman coming to get you is the one inside your head. It’s the boogeyman created by Trump compells you to vote against a fair system that works for everyone rather than the 1%.
No one is entitled to anything. You have a choice to work, a choice to stay off drugs, a choice to make something of yourself. I have nothing to do with your choice. That’s all on you. You are entitled to what you earn.
