The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and that’s not hyperbole. However, it is chock full of religious dogma. It’s a pithy observation packed with meaning; it is better to phrase this truth without the religious dogma.

We’re blind to the future

The technology industry abides by the Agile Manifesto, and the manifesto embraces the fact that humans, even intelligent engineers, cannot predict the future.

A Tale Of Two Ideologies

In the United States, two prevailing ideologies controlled political narratives in 2020.

  1. America First
  2. Unity in Diversity

It isn’t easy to reconcile these two ideologies. An America First ideology is a Nationalist value, and Unity in Diversity is a Globalist ideology. Our world is going through a time where many people want to isolate themselves from the new global world we live in today. The America First

We’re living in unprecedented times, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. As the America First crowd has framed it, a war between good and evil is paved with good intentions. If people did not believe that putting America First was a good thing in their hearts, they wouldn’t align with someone like Donald J. Trump unless they are genuinely corrupt to the core. We’re trained in airplanes to put our masks on before we try to help anyone else in the plane. We do it because we can better assist other people if we’re not suffering due to lack of oxygen, and it’s the smart thing to do.

Trump loyalists believe the Globalists are an evil cabal and have become a scapegoat for groups like QAnon and other Anti-globalist groups. It’s an all too convenient and effective way to instill fear in the masses. While it’s likely that some people are plotting the downfall of the world, it’s unlikely that they will be more successful than Donald J. Trump has been at destabilizing a country.

It’s a messy state of affairs worldwide with Donald J. Trump leading the charge against globalism and other countries with citizens that feel abandoned.

We must create a new ideology that balances local control by governments and The United Nations, so everyone wins.

If we’re unable to do these things, we’re in big trouble as a species.

If humans are anything, they are adaptable, but sadly we humans are susceptible to the boiling frog syndrome. We can adapt when we know there is danger, but we have difficulty seeing the forest from the trees.

Our moral imperative is to look at the big picture, think like globalists, and act like globalists. Putting our heads in the sand is not an option. We cannot allow fear, hate, lies, and division to control our future and lead us to a path of ruin. As citizens of The United States of America, we must rise and take the lead to meet this challenge for our children.
