Why are Republicans trying to destroy America? They are attempting to turn America into an illiberal Democracy as I write these words. At every turn, they complain about problems they created while sabotaging solutions. If you spend too much time following these crazy people on Twitter as I do, you’ll quickly understand their tactics.
Attack & Sabotage
Gas just hit $4.37 & people can’t get baby formula in the country Biden claims to be running.
— Lauren Boebert (@laurenboebert) May 10, 2022
He’d rather focus on a bill that members have 4 hours to read & includes $40 billion more for aid to Ukraine & possibly $8.8 billion to fight “global disinformation”.
AMERICA FIRST!
Boebert voted Nay on H.R. 7790: Infant Formula Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2022.
Somehow Republican representatives like her get away with complaining about a problem while actively sabotaging solutions. This behavior is beyond ridiculous, and it happens all the time. If you research what’s happening in the chambers of Congress, you’ll quickly come to the same realization.
Division
Republicans love painting The Other as the problem. As if there are a million barbarians at the gates attacking their belief systems. The Constitution is a solid document, but it’s not a holy text. The Constitution is flexible enough to give EVERYONE a fair shake and include different views in the evolution of America.
Most people in the United States are on board with following the Constitution, but we’re not all on board with violating equal rights and supporting double standards. We are not enemies; we’re citizens of a great country that has lost its way and needs all of us to nurse it back to health. There isn’t another, there’s the only US, and we can’t fix problems when we’re at each other’s throats.
If Republicans had dropped all association with Trump after January 6th, I wouldn’t be writing this post. I might have skipped creating this blog altogether! However, they have bet the farm on Trump and continue to prop him up while silencing leaders like Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, and Adam Kinzinger. I’m afraid I have to disagree with everything these people say, but they respect the rule of law and don’t want us to become an authoritarian state as Trump does.
Lies
Most, if not all, politicians lie. Republicans condone lies and corruption more than any other political group in America. They lie about the 2020 election, the economy, and anything that will help them control our country. Everything I just said is factual and verifiable, so please understand this is reality. Even Republicans like Adam Kinzinger agree.
We can’t have a constitutional representative republic if we can’t agree on facts. Republicans don’t call out each other when they lie because they don’t care how they win. It’s unreal that principled people continue to fuel a political party that constantly lies with zero political consequences.
Their Plan
Republicans like Rick Scott have an 11-point plan to save America. While some Republicans say Rick Scott doesn’t speak for the party, he isn’t a nobody within the Republican power structure. Rick is the chairman of the GOP Senate campaign arm.
If you read through the plan, you’ll see it’s an authoritarian playbook—increased law enforcement attacks on citizens, marginalization of people that aren’t normal, and more nationalism.
If you were paying attention before the 2020 election, you witnessed a preview of a Republican fascist state that issued open season attacks on citizens. If Republicans are elected, and it’s looking like they will, we’re fucked. If you are over eighteen and eligible to vote, I recommend voting against the Republicans. Honestly, any party is a better choice.
Conclusion
I love the United States of America. I don’t want to lose my freedom, house, car, or family. I imagine you don’t want to lose it either if you benefit from it. Too many disenfranchised people are affected by the actions of a small group of wealthy and devious groups of people. I’m not a fan of most Democratic Party priorities, but I am a fan of taking these people down.
We control about 30% of the pie in Congress. Rich people & politicians supported by lobbyists own the rest. They control the wealth and have the power, while most of us have scraps that fell from their tables. If the Democratic Party can hold onto power, it will tax people making over 400,000 a year. Before September, it might do that, but it’s unlikely with Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema in office.
We can’t afford to allow these people to call the shots in our country. We need to elevate poor people, provide universal mental and medical health care access, and take care of each other! If we aren’t healthy, we can’t work together to save the republic.
I implore you. Please pay attention to Republican actions and not their words. Please look at the economy rationally and use critical thinking to realize that inflation is happening globally. Inflation isn’t only happening in the United States, and it’s not the fault of fewer than two years of Democratic leadership. Let’s get past these challenges and Make America Good Again.
