As our republic’s free world leadership status remains in question, the climate ravages the world, the global economy causes misery, and we’re confronted with a potential WWIII, our citizens are arguing about appropriate gender roles.
Why are we doing this?
Gender Is A Spectrum

Gender is a social construct, and it’s a spectrum. A social construct is always up for debate. Spending time arguing over a social construct is fruitless.
Everyone is entitled to their preferences, whether about pineapple on pizza or the gender spectrum. It’s not my place to judge. However, we’re wasting energy on a topic that could be settled by following the fucking constitution.
Genderfication Is Discrimination
Anti-trans legislation displaces freedom of expression and is a case of punching down. It’s not the state’s business to force people to tow a philosophical or religious line.
Before transgender spectrum dwellers, the focus of Republican persecution was gay people.
- 3.5% of adults in the US identify as LGB
- 0.3% identify as transgender
Republicans mistreat both groups in various contexts along with other groups.
Any legislation that discriminates against a group of people goes against the The Fourteenth Amendment.
No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws
We must ratify the Equal Rights Amendment to settle worthless gender debates.
Gender Isn’t A Problem
Despite Republican outrage about transgender athletes competing and winning in sports events, gender isn’t a problem. The problem is the lack of a level playing field. A lack of “live and let live” philosophy in this context is the problem. Give people a fair shake, and create new sports teams, for fuck’s sake!
