Separation of Entertainment and State
Politics is supposed to be boring. Annoyingly verbose walls of legal text with drawn-out debates are boring AF. That’s a good thing. Politics should be a meticulous process of poring over failed and successful policies to pick the least harmful policy. The problem is that politics is a form of entertainment. The news and debates are low-quality entertainment. Politicians are entertainers, and the voters are fans. The whole thing is a circus, and it’s destroying the United States of America. ...
